Travis John Jacobson was born March 10, 1995 to parents Jerry and Carolyn Jacobson. He was an only child until Aaron Jacobson was adopted into the family in 2004 at age 5.

Travis loved water polo, competitive swimming, skateboarding, wakeboarding and snowboarding.

Travis had a presence that attracted other people when he would arrive with his big smile, monster hugs and genuinely kind affection for his friends and family. He was the glue who kept his group of friends together and would always initiate road trips to visit friends that were living farther away. Travis traveled extensively with his father, mother and friends.

On August 13th, 2019, Travis returned home from dinner with one of his roommates, after which they both had taken a “Xanax” tablet. The next morning Travis’ roommate woke up and went to work, not knowing that Travis had passed away from Fentanyl poisoning at the young age of 24. Travis’ autopsy toxicology result revealed: a small amount of Xanax, which is believed he bought the previous night; a moderate amount of Ibuprofen, added as a cheap filler; and a fatal amount of Fentanyl.

Neither his father nor mother were aware of his recreational drug use, until they got the call from the Los Angeles coroner at 3:00am. By far the worst day of their lives! His friends said he had bought what he thought was Xanax on the streets but everyone would later find out that wasn’t the case.

“For the years and days we had the pleasure of him as a member of our family, we couldn’t have been more pleased and proud to call him our son.”
